I hate to post every time, Eddie,but you are such a clever provacateur, I can’t help myself. 🤪 Drag performances for kids are almost always sanitized for fun with typically the inclusion of a DEI message. You are projecting your inquisitive adult sexuality onto the response of children who simply enjoy the clowning of the drag performer. Kind of like Dame Edna cleaning up her act for elementary school. I do agree that drag should not be imposed onto kids whose families would not approve. And there is a problem with optics in this time of Don’t Say Gay hysteria, the notion that LGBT educators are somehow “grooming” their students. Drag is not the same as trans. Men goofing around in exaggerated women’s attire is a form of entertainment with a long history. Miss Penny Costal. Very funny!
What good is paying for a subscription if you don't post as much as you like? Also, there are MANY videos showing children at highly inappropriate "family friendly" drag shows. To a large degree it's the parents' right to show their children what they are okay with, but it's very creepy when a show is deemed "family friendly" and a performer is sexually suggestive.
Send me some of those links if you have time. 😊. I am dubious. Some families are very cool about that stuff. The drag performances for children in libraries and at Prides are certainly not like that.
I have an acquaintance who knew, and his parents knew, at a very young age he was gay. They took him to drag performances so he didn't feel alone. The intention, I'm sure, is often good. But the eagerness to be a part of it on the behalf of drag performers is gross.
So inappropriate for the kids to be exposed to this at their stage of development!
