In case you're wondering how GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson is doing...
Does he even know what the word "leverage" means?
We knew this week was going to be a fucking nightmare when Fox News correspondent Chad Pergram tweeted Sunday evening that his Republican sources in Congress told him it would be a “robust foreign policy week.”
Boy, oh boy, has it been just that! And it’s only Wednesday. There’s nothing elected Republicans love more than quibbling over issues happening THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY FROM THEIR ACTUAL VOTERS.
Asking a Congressional Republican to competently focus his creative energy on managing government spending, or the busted Southern border, or any issue that might tangibly improve the life of a single American is like asking a petulant toddler to please take a nap. I’m begging you, please!

That makes sense, but tell me, elected Republicans, where exactly do the direct and measurable interests of Americans come in? And try it without using the words “national security,” "our allies,” or (gag) “democracy.”
Elected Republican: Well, we can’t allow Putin to…
SHUT… THE F***… UP!
And before I get any comments about how important it is that the U.S. support its allies abroad or calling me an “isolationist,” let’s not be so weak and shallow…
